An investigation into the antecedents of frontline service employee guardianship behaviours

چکیده
Purpose This study aims to provide empirically generated insights into the drivers of guardianship behaviour among frontline service employees (FLEs) within retail settings. Design/methodology/approach The research framework comprises a quantitative survey 507 at national supermarkets New Zealand. Findings findings suggest that employee perceptions internal corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, their level psychological ownership towards supermarket and personal moral beliefs, shape behaviours and, consequentially, prevention in-store deviant by customers such as shoplifting. Originality/value contribution this paper is twofold. First, it offers both conceptual foundation an empirical-based evaluation antecedents role employees. Second, model derived from may aid practitioners in developing strategies engender contexts.
